Alongside his session work Ross regularly gigs across the UK and works with two recording studios composing his own music and working as a qualified music technology engineer.
Ross takes a relaxed teaching approach ensuring that each individual students needs are met and that they have a solid musical foundation to enable them to learn their chosen style of music.
What Ross says - ”Music is my life and I feel that teaching in a relaxed and fun environment is paramount to successful learning”
Having completed his BA (Hons) Contemporary World Jazz Degree, Tom has spent the last five years working as a drummer in different musical settings playing various styles of music . The work has varied from playing with blues bands, cover bands, rock bands and jazz groups (with the likes of Alan Barnes and Lillian Boutté), to playing in stage shows, big bands, recording demos and playing at festivals (including Jazz á Vienne in France).
It is this wide knowledge and experience that Tom brings to all his lessons to help teach his students and get the most from their playing. All aspects of drumming are on offer, including rudiments, sight reading, brush work, playing in all styles, technique, drum tuning and general information about the music business.
What Tom says – “Whatever age or experience, it’s important to adapt the lesson to the students requirements. Once covering the fundamentals, I help find the musical path of his or her choice to follow, keeping the lesson fun and useful. I hope to bring my passion and dedication to the art of music for the student to feel and inspire.”
